Mr.
Forester manages the investment program of the
Forester Value Fund. He is primarily
responsible for the day-to-day management of the
Fund's portfolio.
Tom has a
real passion for investing. In order to start
the fund, he left a great position managing over $1.4
billion for Scudder Investments, investing in value at
the firm's Dreman Value Advisors. He also
managed assets at two prior firms, one of whose
clients included Sir John Templeton. He has
been involved with the securities business for
nearly 20 years.
Mr. Forester has always admired Sir John Templeton
and patterns his investment philosophy of buying
bargains after both he
and Warren Buffett.
Mr. Forester holds an MBA from the Kellogg School at
Northwestern University and a BA degree in economics
(with honors) from the University of Colorado
(1981). Mr. Forester also studied at the London
Business School.
Mr. Forester has appeared in articles in Fortune
Magazine, Washington Post, USA Today, Investment
News and CBS Marketwatch.
